Crisis of Consumption - Earlier Today:
Listening to my favourite book series, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. What do you do when you start to get exasperated by your favourite book's heroine? I've always thought her to be strong. Lately (i'm on book 2, Dragonfly in Amber), I keep yelling at her (well, not really). She keeps screwing things up for her husband. Over and over. It was amusing and touching the first five or ten times. But now, let's see... Claire opens her big mouth to stick up for some social injustice and... who has to save her from the throngs who want to strangle her? Or she mouths off to the Men with the Money. Or....

How many times is she going to put the gorgeous, REDhead, kilt-wearing, scotch-drinking, sensitive, yet manly-man husband of hers (Jaime) in danger. Oh well - He usually threatens to punish her afterwards - which often, though not always, leads to passionate sex. Perhaps she has this all figured out...
