Laying there
    in pain & sorrow -
Unable to think
Too painful to feel,
the streaker ran by.

The flash of bare butt,
The shine of her ecstatic smile.
Giggles bounce from the wall.
In that brief, forever moment,
God's Peace was there.

Laying there
    in pain & sorrow,
I smiled too.
