My Thoughts - On Fire

this popped into my head today - haven't gone through my editting process yet. i may still. i may not. 8/4 cuore

What is a flame?

Passion?
Conflict?
Heat?
A cool spot?

Mix anything burnable, any tinder
With enough heat, enough friction/conflict
And you get yourself fire

Many causes - Many results
They can burn from conflict
They can burn hot
They can burn cold

Put me in cool flame. In the Blue,
as Observer.
See I only the fire, not the cause, not the effect;
Just the flame.

Some find it tantilizing.
Some find it destructive.
Some find it enticing.
Some just burn.

You know, the fire really does not matter.
It's the cause, the catalysts, and how effectively the fire feeds on the fuel that matters.

Romantic, yes.
But you can freeze your ass off in front of a fire that generates no heat
And have to walk away from one that burns too hot, too fast.
It's all about the fuel.

What's the right fuel for this mix?
How can you know?
I certainly don't.

And then if you don't let it breathe, it dies on you.

Fire is beautiful, mesmerizing, and rarely is easy to start.
It's nice when you build one of those fires that takes little work.
You've got the right fuel, the right foundation
Well built, from years of practice and proper preparation.
Key to getting a good, warm fire off the ground: the foundation, that little logcabin foundation.
Those fires are a treat. Rare, but a treat.

wow... smokin' words

"What's the right fuel for this mix?"

yes, indeed
to the Greeks, it was the Titan Prometheus who stole fire from Zeus and gave it to man. Fire was a gift.

Not sure where I am going with this but yeah... I hear you.
"Rarely easy to start"
Building a good fire (camping analogy):
Even after a burning hot fire has died down a bit, late into the evening, those embers smolder... good for marshmallows. And conversation or just listening to the silence.
